Our first trip to China was the end of our Trans-Siberian Railway adventure and to get our North Korean visa. We spent a good week in Beijing, that we repeated two years later with the in-laws. In 2014 we got to work at a farm in Dongguan for five weeks and took the train from Guangzhou all the way up to Beijing, through Shanghai. The hard seats on the sleeper trains were a nightmare!
